Dealer: Trusty Time / Andrew
Period covered: November 2023 – September 2025
Orders: 11
Problems: 1 (DOA movement)

Summary

I have used Andrew since 2023 and he is the dealer I default to when I do not want to think about the purchase. Prices sit in the middle of the market rather than the bottom, and you are paying for the fact that the confirmation email arrives the same day.

Transit to the Netherlands: 14, 17, 17, 21, 16, 19, 24 (December), 15, 18, 17 days. All via registered airmail with tracking that actually updates. No seizures in eleven shipments, which I put down to the packaging rather than luck — double boxed, no brand markings on the outer carton.

The one problem

Order seven, a 116610, arrived with a movement that would not hold power. I sent a video, he asked for two more angles, then shipped a replacement movement and covered half the watchmaker cost. Total resolution time from first email to money in my account for the watchmaker: 11 days. That is the number that matters to me, not the fact that it broke.

What I would flag

  • He is slower to reply at weekends, and slower still during Chinese New Year. If your parcel is in transit during that period, add two weeks.
  • His QC photos are adequate but not generous. Ask for a specific shot of the rehaut if you care about alignment.
  • He takes card, which is the reason I stayed. The 3.5% surcharge is worth it for the chargeback option.

I have no relationship with him beyond being a customer. No discount, no referral arrangement.

Matches my experience, though my average is closer to 20 days to the UK. Two orders in 2025, both fine. The one thing I would add: ask him to declare at a sensible value, because the default isn’t always sensible for UK customs.

Three orders to Austria, 2023–2025. Two arrived in under three weeks, one took 31 days and he was as confused as I was — tracking showed it sitting in a sorting centre for eleven days. He offered a replacement before I even asked, which I thought was decent.

Not the cheapest. I have stopped chasing the cheapest.

I will be the dissenting voice. Order in October 2025, a 114060. QC photos looked fine, watch arrived with a dust speck under the crystal at 4 o’clock. Not a disaster, but he initially suggested I had caused it. Took three emails and a photo with a loupe before he agreed to a partial refund of 40 euro.

Resolved, yes. Frictionless, no. I still use him, but I photograph the unboxing now.

Four orders to Spain between 2024 and 2026, no issues, average 19 days. One parcel was opened by customs and resealed, watch untouched, no duty charged. Draw your own conclusions.
