PureTime accuracy after ten days

I received a 116710LN from PureTime on 8 May after paying by bank transfer on 14 April. The total was within EUR 420 to 470. QC took seven days and I requested a second movement photograph because the first was too soft to show much beyond the rotor. The second was clearer, although I would not describe the finish as beautiful. It was broadly what I expected at the price.

The supplied timing photograph showed a small daily gain in one position. On my wrist the watch has gained seventy-eight seconds over ten days. I synchronised it once, wore it during working hours and recorded the difference each evening. I did not reset it daily and add together guesses. Overnight it stayed dial up. This is a record of my use, not a claim about every position or the movement’s condition.

I asked PureTime why the delivered result differed from the photograph. Their answer was that wear and position change the result, which is reasonable as far as it goes. They offered inspection if it became markedly worse. I am keeping it and may have a local watchmaker assess it when convenient. My outcome is a functioning GMT that runs faster than the single photograph led me to expect. If I were buying again, I would treat that picture as one observation rather than a certificate of how the watch will behave on my arm.

I would want several positions before deciding whether regulation alone is sensible. A small number in one photograph can conceal a wide spread elsewhere. Your ten-day record is more useful than my usual first impression. I would not open it merely to make the average prettier unless you are happy doing that work yourself.

Did the daily gain stay fairly even, or did one weekend account for most of it? I ask because my watch spends much more time on the desk on Saturdays. Your total sounds manageable to me, but I would want the pattern before comparing it with a dealer photograph taken under entirely different conditions.
