PureTime asking more after my transfer

I agreed EUR 390 plus EUR 35 shipping with PureTime for a 126234 Datejust on 17 July and transferred the full EUR 425 on the 18th. On the 21st they acknowledged receipt. On the 27th I received a message saying the available version cost another EUR 65 and asking me to send the difference. The original invoice still shows the original reference and amount. There was no warning before payment that the price depended on whatever could be found afterwards.

I sometimes sell a watch on when I tire of it, so getting the exact agreed version matters to me. I have asked whether this is a genuinely different specification or simply a revised price for the same item. I have also said that if the invoiced watch cannot be supplied, I want my payment returned rather than credit against a future order. The answer so far is that the newer version is better. Better is not a specification and it does not answer the refund request. I have not paid the extra money or accepted the substitution. There are no pictures to compare and nothing has been sent. I am posting while the dispute remains open because the order currently seems conditional on a price I never agreed.

A different version can have a different resale value, even if a dealer calls it better. Ask them to identify exactly what would change on the invoice. I would not send another transfer until that and your cancellation option are answered. You cannot assess an unnamed upgrade from a cheerful adjective.

That one-line answer would annoy me more than the shortage itself. They could say the original is unavailable and give you two clear choices. Keep your next message short enough that the refund request cannot get lost amongst arguments about whether the newer version looks nicer. You have already explained the problem.
